Event details

I imagine a world where children can grow into adults that feel happy and confident about their bodies.  As parents and caregivers, we have a vital role in protecting our children and challenging status quo. One that currently makes us feel bad about ourselves and our bodies.  Together we can make a difference and change that narrative. Creating an environment where children can learn to feel good, eat well and feel good about their bodies.  This workshop troubleshoots common nutrition problems and offers practical strategies for building a positive relationship with food and body. Raising children who feel good, eat well and have a positive body image. A child who is confident, resilient and feels good in their own skin easily thrives in the challenges life brings.  This workshop will cover all aspects of nourishing your child including:  - What created the current situation and how we can change it - What to do if you’re concerned about your child’s weight - How to feed your child in a way that sets them up with a positive relationship with food and their body - How to deal with sugar and other “treat foods” - Nurturing a positive body image for your child - Signs of disordered eating and what to look out for - An overview of the body image concerns in gender diverse and rainbow youth - A question and answer session with a registered Paediatric Dietitian and body image specialist.  The world of feeding children and body image is our speciality. We've created our holistic strategies to help you empower your child to eat well and feel healthy.  Get your tickets today!

Here's what other parents are saying...

I’m a huge fan of The Food Tree and their approach to body image and fostering a positive relationship with food. They’re informative, knowledgeable, helpful, and gentle. I’ve attended several of their workshops, and each time I leave with new tools to create a positive environment for my children around body image and self-acceptance.

Gemma Vergo

I learned so much from the workshop! Thank you. I feel much more relaxed about how I approach body image discussions with my kids, and they seem more confident in their own skin.
